Wiki Fix

Wiki Fix

SharePoint has the ability to save a site as a template to use for the creation of new sites. This powerful feature does have a shortcoming though. If the template includes a Wiki Library, then when clicking on the Wiki Library link, the home page will not open by default and instead a list of all wiki pages will be shown. From here you can select the Home page and continue as normal.

Wiki Fix is a webpart that attaches to the Wiki Library list and corrects this problem. When a new site is created from the Template and you go to the Wiki for the first time, you will see the Wiki Fix button. Press the button and then your Library will always default to the Home page as it should of in the the first place.
